Subject: Fw: World Community Grid / Support Ticket # 1478 From: worldcommunitygrid Date: 12/09/2014 03:31 PM To: kontakt@zwiebeltoralf.de Hello again Toralf, The science applications use a memory mapped file to communicate with the screen saver. The BOINC API used to use RWX permissions to create this file but it has been changed. CEP2 is old enough that it still uses those permissions. OET1 uses those permissions because for launch we used the old build since it is the same application. Once we update the OET1 application this will be updated. The choice is yours as to whether or not you are willing to add exceptions for these applications. If you do not wish to allow the exceptions, please remove these research projects from your profile. We will be updating these research projects in the future, but do not have an availability date at this time. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyProjects.do Hope this information is of assistance. Thank you very much for donating your unused computer power to help advance critical humanitarian research.
